The iliopsoas is the prime hip flexor, formed by the merging psoas major and iliacus. It arches from the lumbar spine and iliac fossa to the 📍 lesser trochanter, creating a deep diagonal that lifts the thigh and stabilizes the lower spine when the legs are fixed.
