The extensor digiti minimi is a thin muscle on the ulnar side of the posterior forearm. It originates alongside 💪 extensor digitorum from the lateral epicondyle and sends a tendon to the little finger through the dorsal wrist.
The tendon merges with the extensor expansion of digit five, allowing the little finger to straighten. Working with 💪 extensor carpi ulnaris it can help extend the wrist, and it opposes the flexors of the little finger.
