The clavicle, or collar bone, is a slender S-shaped bone that connects the sternum to the scapula. Acting as a strut, it keeps the upper limb away from the thorax and allows greater range of motion at the shoulder.

Acromial end #

Lateral end that articulates with the 🦴 scapula at the acromioclavicular joint.

Deltoid tubercle #

Rough area on the lateral third for attachment of the 💪 deltoid.

Shaft #

The middle portion with a gentle S-curve.

Sternal end #

Medial end that articulates with the sternum.
